Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart, that barriers which divide us my crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Saint Andrew’s has a long history of reaching out in support to the community and world around us.

The Community Food Pantry

The Food Pantry, which is housed at St. Andrew’s, is an organization that is actively supported by area churches and individuals. It provides food to families and individuals in need who are residents of the local area. Food Pantry hours are from 10 – noon on Tuesdays and Friday mornings throughout the year (closed the day after Thanksgiving). If you have need of Food Pantry services please arrive during posted hours. If you would like to make cash or food contributions, including seasonal fresh produce, they can be dropped off any time that the church is open.

The Food Pantry also provides “Food Baskets” for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Dinner Bell

Saint Andrew’s Parish Hall is the site for Dinner Bell South, a meal served every Sunday evening at 5:00. Anyone is welcome at Dinner Bell meals, regardless of need. Contributions of any size are always welcome.

Dinner Bell is supported by area churches and individuals. Meals are planned, prepared, and served by cook teams of two or more individuals. (Cook teams are reimbursed for food expenses.) Additional volunteers provide help with set-up and clean-up. New volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to become involved, please call the church office (323-8515).

Christmas Dinner

Members of the parish host a splendid traditional Christmas Dinner at midday on December 25th, typically serving appetizers, roast beef, turkey, and “all the fixings.” This meal is open to anyone who would like to come and eat.

Tamworth Community Christmas Project

TCCP is a comprehensive venture that provides Christmas gifts of toys and clothing to local children in need. Saint Andrew’s is the collection and distribution site for this project each December. Many area and regional organizations and individuals work together on TCCP. If you would like to apply for this holiday assistance for you children, please call the church office for application procedures.

State Government

A member of the St. Andrew’s congregation travels regularly to the State House in Concord as an advocate for people with disabilities. She has a complete set of the bills that are before the state legislature on all topics, which she is willing to share. She is also willing to discuss state legislative matters with anyone or to provide rides to Concord for people interested in learning more about the workings of state government. If interested, contact the church office by phone (603-323-8515) or email.
